Bergamot Essential Oil (FCF)
INCI: Citrus bergamia FCF
Bergamot FCF Essential Oil is obtained by cold pressing the peel of Citrus bergamia and is subsequently processed to remove naturally occurring furanocoumarins (FCF – Furanocoumarin Free). This process preserves its fresh, vibrant citrus aroma with delicate floral undertones while significantly improving its safety profile for cosmetic applications.
One of the most valued essential oils in fine perfumery, Bergamot FCF brings brightness, elegance, and freshness to fragrance compositions. It is widely used in skincare products formulated for both dry and oily skin, helping maintain the skin's natural balance and healthy appearance. It is also appreciated for its balancing and revitalizing properties and is commonly incorporated into soaps, creams, lotions, and other personal care products.
Extraction Method: Cold pressing of the fruit peel followed by the removal of furanocoumarins (FCF).
Origin: Italy.
Contraindications: Considered non-toxic when used as directed and properly diluted. As an FCF grade essential oil, it is free of furanocoumarins and is therefore considered non-phototoxic, making it especially suitable for leave-on skincare and cosmetic formulations.
Blends beautifully with Geranium, Ginger, Jasmine, Lavender, Mandarin, Neroli, Palmarosa, Peppermint, Rose, Ylang Ylang, Rosemary, Tea Tree, Eucalyptus, Orange, and Petitgrain essential oils.
