INCI: Matricaria chamomilla
German Chamomile Essential Oil is obtained by steam distillation of the flowering tops of Matricaria chamomilla. During the distillation process, chamazulene is naturally formed, giving the essential oil its characteristic deep blue color and contributing to its renowned soothing properties.
It is one of the most highly valued essential oils for the care of sensitive, delicate, and irritated skin. It is widely used in eye care formulations and products designed to improve the appearance of dark circles and bruised-looking skin. In aromatherapy, it is equally appreciated for its calming and relaxing properties, making it a popular ingredient in soothing wellness blends.
Extraction Method: Steam distillation of the flowering tops.
Origin: Hungary.
Contraindications: Considered non-toxic when used as directed and properly diluted. Avoid use in individuals with known allergies to plants of the Asteraceae (Compositae) family.
Blends beautifully with Geranium, Lavender, Patchouli, Rose, and Rosewood essential oils.
It is offered dilluted 3% in Golden Jojoba carrier oil.
